Description
The appellant, Carlos Enrique Flores, was charged with intoxication manslaughter and manslaughter in Cause No. 97-CR-5817 after the vehicle he was driving struck another vehicle and caused the death of the driver of the other vehicle. As a result of the accident, Flores was also charged with failure to stop and render aid in Cause No. 98-CR-0104. These charges were consolidated for trial and the causes were tried before a jury. The jury found Flores guilty of all three charges, and assessed a twenty-year sentence for intoxication manslaughter, a twenty-year sentence for manslaughter, and a five-year sentence for failing to stop and render aid. Flores appeals his convictions in this appeal.
